In recent times, I have seen Keyword Elite attract some high profile attention lately. Let me admit here that I was captivated by the promotion surrounding this piece of software. Of course, I came in contact with this keyword tool before, but did not have enough time to look at it more closely. So, this Keyword Elite review is based on my recent experience when I eventually took a look at this piece of software that is one of the fastest developing keyword research tools on the Internet today.

To start this Keyword Elite review, I noticed from my first use that the software tool had a very nice user interface. Although, I am an Internet marketer who really does not mind using a piece of ugly software so long it works well, I consider it a bonus to use software that looks pretty good.

This software is able to adapt very well to the style of keyword research about to be completed. I was able to work my way through each of the project types that show the various function sets the tool had to offer.

I was able to analyze the Pay per Click Listings. Initially, I was able to configure various options before getting down to work. I mean, I could opt to obtain data from either Google, Yahoo or others, so that I could set the needed criteria that could be researched and shown under the tab for reports. I mean I could consider the top bids, Google broad match, phrase match or even exact match. I could then set the number of keywords the software should pull from other keyword tools. Once I started, I was able to see two tabs on the top window, showing the threads of live data or the final product of the data mining. Well, without boring you with the details in this Keyword Elite review, the wealth of information from the reports section is just amazing!

After trying a couple of practice tests, I fell in love with the tool! Its focus was to build for me, a huge list of keywords from various sources like Overture, Google Keyword Suggestion Tool, Meta tags and lots more. Keyword Elite is one of the few tools that provide integration with Word Tracker and Keyword Discovery. I am not sweet-talking or painting this Keyword Elite review in glossy pictures. My claims are basically very true! I was able to also select a keyword list without any difficulty.

The software tool was not only able to let me analyze the fierceness of the competition but also, I was able to see at a glance how difficult it could be to be among the top 10 in the search engines for my chosen keywords. It is also worthy of note that the tool allows me to input my competitors' URL's and sets of keywords to help me spy on Ad words competition. The software helped me check for any of my competing sites advertising on Google and brought back the details of their ads. This is indeed a nice feature to enjoy.

Well, no keyword tool is perfect and this Keyword Elite review will be incomplete if I don't mention the flaws of this tool. Well, most importantly, the software lacks the continuity between project types. In other words, you cannot import the sites you find in the Competition Spy, except you do it manually! The automation between projects is not so perfect. However, in spite of this singular setback, I will say you should go for this keyword research tool. It is almost close to being perfect. I hope this Keyword Elite review is informative enough to help you decide well!

Why the Perfect Number is so Hard to Find

When it comes to using SEO keyword density in creating your content, there is a very thin line that you must walk. That thin line separates real, informative content with good but subtle density from the spam content that is just keyword stuffed nonsense and gibberish. Part of that is caused by content writers that are stuck on getting the right number of mentions into their work and part of it is caused by the use or article spinners. The rest is caused by optimizers who could not care less about creating good content, their only goal is to push for higher rank, the end. And who pays for that practice? In the end, we all do.

Imagine that you are completely unaware of the concept of Internet marketing, search engine rankings or SEO keyword density at all. You are an ordinary customer coming to the Internet to search for a new pair of yoga pants at a good price. So far, you have not found the right size, style and color combination at the local stores and you are not quite ready to just settle. As a customer, you are going to search by the words that you yourself choose.

It is the Internet marketer’s job to research and find out what those words are most likely to be. You look for your yoga pants and generate a large number of search results. Excited, you click on the listings that are in the first few spots and what you find is very disheartening indeed. You do not find decent pants nor can you believe the garbage site that you have been dragged to. The content is basically nothing but gibberish. Amused you read some of the paragraphs, even calling a friend to read them out loud. Clicking away, you don’t repeat that search again, meaning that the legitimate sites in the fourth or fifth ranks are going to get ignored.

The problem with SEO keyword density is that it is sometimes difficult to determine how dense is too dense. Most marketers aim for around one to three percent density at the most. Which means, for an article that is five hundred words long, the exact keyword phrase should only be used around five times, throughout the entire article.

A good writer can slip those words right on past you without you even catching on, most of the time. There are some keywords, especially the long tail keyword phrases that just are so jarring that you can’t help but see them coming a mile away. More than three percent and the keyword phrase just takes over and your content drifts over to spam. Less than one percent and you might have useful content but it is not likely that many people will see it because you are not ranking at all. A new content creator might panic and try to use those keywords too soon, stuffing them all in the first paragraph- again knocking the content over the fence into spam-land and turning off readers in the process.

300 Internet Marketers, Scam or legit?

Introduction

The new so called Internet Marketing Coaching Program calling itself 300 Internet Marketers just turned on the switch the last day of March 2011.

We shall take a critical but fair inside look at this new offer being presented by a Mr. Brian Johnson to determine if it is everything they claim to be or just another slick internet Scam.

The word Scam is described as: “the act of swindling by some fraudulent scheme” and I would never hang that word on any person or company unless they are committing fraud and cheating people out of their hard money.

Who is Brian Johnson?

Mr. Johnson claims in his promotional material to be a successful Internet Affiliate Marketer who started Internet Marketing (IM) more than 10 years ago.

A quick Google search revealed only one result for a Brian Johnson associated with IM. Sure enough, next to the last on page one there is a glowing review of Mr. Johnson along with a write up of the various products he has offered and some handy links to purchase them if I so choose but nothing about his 300 Internet Marketers offer.

What is 300 Internet Marketers?

The News Release article for 300 Internet Marketers claim it is a Coaching or Mentoring Program that will teach you how to become a successful Internet Marketer.

Now, upon reading this I became interested because with so many folks out of work and looking for a way to replace their lost income the Internet offers so many opportunities for someone who is willing to get some specialized training to learn how to do it successfully.

I wanted to learn more!

Another search pulled some hits for 300 Internet Marketers. Starting with the Fifth one down the page were various glowing reviews apparently by Brian himself because when you go to click back you get that annoying sound and window that pops up that says “Wait, click cancel to stay on this page” (so you can be taken to the sales page.)

Once there I was treated to the LONGEST Video presentation I have ever seen presented by Brian himself explaining how by signing up I would “change my life forever”…for free.” The video was well done but was filled with a lot of fluff and hype instead of specifics.

In the video Brian claims he will teach me how to be successful without Article Marketing. I found that very interesting since article marketing is one of the time tested and proven ways to generate relevant traffic to your website. Many very successful Internet Marketers use only Article Marketing.

Turns out Brian describes his 300 Internet Marketers Coaching Course as being a 5 month program, not a 300 day program as claimed in review I read.

The video had several people, presumably, students of Brian giving their testimonials as to how much 300 Internet Marketers had changed their lives and how much $$ they were making. Now, I watched this video on March 30 and the membership Website for 300 Internet Marketers open to its new members until March 31. Interesting!

Mr. Johnson stated he would provide his training for FREE, but that turns out only if I didn’t stay on his sales page and sign up (More on that latter).

So, I clicked the "Sign Me Up" button!

How Much??

After Brian finally got to the last 10 minutes of his video presentation he revealed that his program was actually a $5,395 Value but if I signed up today it was only $77 per month for 5 months for a total of $385.

I feel that $385 for 5 months of training is very steep since you can do much better elsewhere.

What are the Benefits?

Once a member and the website was activated on 3/31/11 I was able to get a look at the training modules and tools.

The main training format is Webinars presented by Brian which could be very beneficial depending what is covered and just how good a teacher he is.

There are a number of video tutorials that will allegedly walk you through the training to learn Brian’s secrets that I just didn’t get to view. I am afraid they might be unending.

I was very disappointed at the tools available. All the tools I examined you had to pay a membership to use such as FlexSqueeze for $127. Their Link Building Netwook would only be available for 30 days and not until May or June.

What about the FREE training?

Oh Yea! Mr. Johnson’s offer of free training is of course if you don’t sign up to become a regular member.

To receive that free training you are forced to watch another extremely LONG video explaining how great it is going to be before Mr. Johnson reveals what he calls his “Spartan Rank and Pillage Method” which simply consists of using existing Youtube presentations to promote your product (Better be real careful there or you could get sandboxed by Google).

After revealing a few details Brian stated that the rest of the Free Training would not be available for 18 days. We shall see!

Value?

The 300 Internet Marketers website is well put together but limited. The quality of the training is OK but If it doesn’t cover Article Marketing that is a big negative in my book.

The support they claim to have is good if they will do what they say they will.

The fact that the membership doesn’t include any meaningful tools is also very disappointing considering the $77 per month price tag when there is actually some high qulity Free training courses avaliable.

I am a big fan of taking advantage of almost anything free that will help me, especiall free training that will teach me how to make money with Affiliate Marekting.

I would have to rate the value as low!

Conclusion

I must say that I am overall disappointed with what 300 Internet Marketers has to offer because I know you can find much better.

I would not classify 300 Internet Marketers as a Scam but I personally have an aversion to Brian Johnson’s marketing methods. Why not just market it for what it is instead of all the smoke and mirrors?

I would assume that Mr. Johnson will be teaching how to set up an elaborate Landing Page with 30 MINUTE Sales Messages since that is the technique he uses to convert traffic. Count me out, I can’t stay awake that long again!

One big concern I have is that if Mr. Johnson is going to show me how to be successful I would expect him to at least be able to get his website and his own personal review at a much higher ranking on the search engines but maybe he has figured a way around that.

Advantages of Internet Marketing

The advantages of internet marketing - well the most obvious one is the generating of income, whether part-time or full-time.  At least that's the first thing most people think of. I know when I stumbled across the subject, it's partially what caught my interest.

I say partially because I was actually in search of ways to learn the net.  I am a mature woman (that's as close as I get to revealing my age) and I wasn't raised with computers - they weren't in the schools and they weren't in everyone's homes - well certainly not in my home.  Don't get me wrong, in my employment history I was actually a word processor, so when it came to creating documents, I was in the know. Navigating the net however - especially the social networks like Facebook - well that was a different story. I even got frustrated doing searches on the internet - change one word and holy smokes you get a whole bunch of new sites!  

It was in one of these searches - a search that wasn't bearing much fruit I might add - that I came across articles about internet marketing.   So I started reading and researching and I realized that one of the advantages of internet marketing was that, if I chose the right training program, I could actually learn the net - which is what I wanted in the first place.

To answer the question in the title "Is selling items online profitable?" I'll have to answer yes. Yes it is, and you probably already know that it's one of the least expensive businesses to start. Just because it doesn't cost an arm and a leg, it doesn't mean that it's easy to do. Matter of fact there is a large learning curve, but it's worth it.

I'd like to say that quality and credentials win, but unfortunately it's not always the case. Often times a new online site tries to target a broad audience, not realizing the fierce competition. Not only that, you'll have to pay more than your competitors pay, just to drive paid traffic to your site. If your competitors only have to pay .10 a click while you have to pay .70 a click, they've got a huge advantage over you. Not to mention their ad placement will be better too.

Search engines are constantly hungry for new information. To satisfy this constant need, they send out programs to gather sites. These key components need to be optimized properly, or those spiders return to the search engine with the wrong information. The first and easiest step with ranking naturally in the search engines, is to have the proper code on your site. Proper code will help with your listing and drop your ad cost. The second part is how the world wide web is interacting with your site.

The second major part, that search engines look at, is basically populartiy. The popularity is measured by backlinks and what other people are saying about your site. Those same spiders also crawl the links on your site to the sites you link to. They can also crawl other sites and find your site if you have a link there. So, if you want your site to get indexed (listed in the search engines) you can get a link from a site that's crawled often. Social bookmark sites like: Technorati, Digg and Propeller are just a few examples of where you can post a quick description of what your site is about and get a quickly crawled link. However, not all backlinks are measured equally. There's several factors that measure the strength of the link that's directing to your site. One of the most important factors is the page rank of that site. Page rank is determined by the amount of content on the site, the number of links going to that site, how visitors navigate that site and it's age. Links can also be hyper texted (linking using descriptive words) instead of just a URL. Hyper texted links help the spiders determine what the link is about. So if a spider navigates a link on a site and it directs to your URL and the words of that link are relevant to what your URL is about, it will boost your indexing for those words.
