As a result of helping make sales you will receive a commission, or percentage of the total sale cost, as reimbursement for your work. If you are new to the concept it can sound a bit crazy, but it most certainly is not.
Businesses and companies rely on Internet Marketers, or another term – affiliates, to help them make sales by promoting products. This partnership allows the companies more time to devote to product research and development while you are working on the promotion aspect. Everyone wins in this situation. The company can focus on what it needs to and you get paid as you help them.
Where can you find products to help sell? They can be found all over the web. Most large companies and mega corporations offer affiliate programs. Target, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Best Buy, Sears etc… all have them. However, starting out I would stay away from the above and trying to promote physical products that you would find at big box stores. Instead focus on companies and businesses that sell “virtual” products like software/programs.
Clickbank.com is a network of companies and businesses which offers you access to thousands and thousands of products. Clickbank’s network of companies, or merchants as they are called, is entirely made up of virtual products. Again these are things such as computer programs, games or e-books. Since these are virtual products the amount of money you can receive for each sale is a lot higher. Nearly all merchants pay out between 50-75% for each sale. Clickbank is certainly the best place to start out with. So now you know where to go to find products to promote and generate sales of, but what now?
Now we can promote the product. This can be done several ways and is important in knowing how to make money through internet marketing. The easiest way would be through what’s called article marketing. Article marketing is simply writing an article that focuses on a problem that people are having. Then when you are at the end of the article you recommend to your reader a product which is a solution to their problem. Here is an easy example.
Problem – Housebreaking a new puppy. Solution – Offer you reader a product, in this case, the “How to Housetrain Any Dog” e-book found on Clickbank.com. Then when your reader buys this product through your unique URL link you will receive 75% of the sale price, in this case, $30.
Know you know how to make money through Internet Marketing. In its simplest form it is not extremely difficult. What takes a bit of work and knowledge is to understand the product you want to sell and its audience. Not everyone uses every product, only certain people.
