Would you like to learn how to market your products or services on the internet for FREE? It’s simpler than you might think. There are a few free methods that anyone can use to market their stuff online. In this article I’m going to focus on one of my personal favorites: Article Marketing.
Article marketing is when you write small articles about products or services that you are selling on your website. Then you publish these articles on any one of the many free article directories available online. Just a few examples of free article directories are: EzineArticles.com, GoArticles.com, Buzzle.com, and StreetArticles.com. There are many others as well but these are some of the most popular.
When you write an article for the purposes of online marketing, you will include a “Link Code” either within the article itself or in the Author Bio at the end of the article. This “Link Code” is how the reader will link to the website that you are trying to get them to go to. If the website is your own you simply link to your own site. If you are writing articles to generate traffic to someone else’s site (this is called Affiliate Marketing) you simply provide the link to that site.
As an affiliate marketer the website you are promoting provides you with a link code that is unique to you. When someone visits that particular site via your unique link code it tells the website owner that you are the one who directed that customer to their site. Then the grateful website owner rewards you by showering you with cash, usually in the form of fees or commissions.
No, really, affiliate marketers make money by generating traffic to other people’s websites.
